Why is a mashgiach making recommendations about the traffic flow of customers in a nut store? I’ve mentioned this before, but that is outside his perview. And completely wacked out.

Unintentionally touch. This is what we’ve come to. We’re so afraid of anything, any interaction between men and women; we’ve become so chaste, that unintentionally brushing arms while reaching for pistachios is now verboten and to be avoided. COME ON PEOPLE!!! Won’t someone knock some sense into people? PLEASE?!?!?!

the ones wanting this are the UBER ORTODOX as I ca ll them. these are the folks that do not beleive in israel till the messiah comes. they speak yiddish mostly. dress and act as if they still live in the 16-1700’s they also tried to do this on the city busses. women in back ALA rosa parks..

Robert, all your assessments may or may not be true (I don’t think this is limited to Satmar or Neturei Karta) but the fact is, this kind of thinking is getting more pervasive and is slowly replacing more centrist strains as normative judaism. that’s what I’m raging against, because I really don’t want that to happen.
just look at the trend in religious judaism over time: today’s fringe beliefs are tomorrow’s accepted halachic practices.

“Accidentally brush” is a very gentle term. You get these fat huge yerushalayimers in the narrow one isle store that leads out onto the street. It’s more like bowl over anyone in front of you version of accidentally brush.
Where in heavens name are they going to put another entrance? This is hilarious.
